Whitehorse Project All Go

The team at Waimate2gether have spent the last 12 months transforming the Whitehorse monument and surrounds as one of their anchor Community Led Development projects. Here we are sharing some photos from the last few weeks to show some of what they have been doing.

The project includes new roading, 3 viewing platforms, a public toilet, CCTV, repainting the Whitehorse, new tracks and significant planting.

For the Waimate community, and visitors to the district, this work has bought this area to life and turned it into a real destination - and will be enjoyed for many years to come.
