Celebrating Christmas with an interactive nativity and petting zoo

John and Glenda Begg helped bring the joy of Christmas to Waimate families on Saturday when they opened their yard to local families to enjoy their gorgeous nativity scene and petting zoo.

The afternoon was busy with many family groups through. It was wonderful to see the joy on the childrens faces as they got to interact with the animals, and have their photos taken in the nativity scene.

We are lucky to have incredible passionate community volunteers like John and Glenda, who selflessly give back in the way that they do. (you may have also seen them out and about on Monday and Tuesday with Christmas in the Streets).
