Ambulance Membership - Support Scheme

Get an ambulance membership from St John Supporter Scheme, and for less than the cost of a single emergency ambulance ($98.00), your whole household can be covered for a year. By paying an annual membership fee you'll get:

• free medical emergency attendance if required

• free emergency ambulance transport to hospital or an emergency medical clinic if required

• free attendance and/or transport to hospital or an emergency medical clinic, if required, for accident related injuries more than 24 hours old (ACC may cover those less than 24 hours old).

• Ministry of Health covers the cost of COVID-19 related medical costs including emergency ambulance services when required

• Individual membership is $55.00

• Joint membership for two people is $75.00

• Household membership is $90.00

Note: Ambulances only sent in medical emergencies/not applicable for private hire/non emergency transports

Health Shuttles

The St John Health Shuttle is a koha based community service that transports people to health-related visits, and then brings them back to Timaru again. The Waimate Community Car can assist you with connecting to the shuttle (24 hours notice)
