We provide your students School Bus Transport to Timaru and Pleasant Point Schools
Aoraki School Transport Network (ASTN) provides Free school bus transport assistance for eligible students to attend school by managing 18 buses that carry approximately 800 students daily. Participating high schools :

Timaru Boy’s High School
Timaru Girls High School

We provide:
School bus routes for students
Organised and on time
Free transport for eligible students
Vehicles are not over loaded
Safe and accountable
Families are aware of changes to routes
Concerns and accidents are promptly reported
We provide school transport on behalf of the Ministry of Education for Timaru High Schools and Pleasant Point Schools in South Canterbury New Zealand. When a student lives more than 2.4km from their nearest bus route and meet the criteria for school transport, they may be eligible for a private conveyance allowance, in addition to bus transport. ATSN does not design the School Bus routes or set the policy for school transport eligibility. School Transport: Application for Assistance
This form is to be completed by the caregivers of students using school buses or claiming school transport allowances. If the student travels the full distance from home to school by private vehicle, or travels more than 2.4 km to the school bus stop, he/she may be eligible for a conveyance allowance.
Students may be eligible for school transport if:
they are under 10 years old and live more than 3.2km from the nearest school; or
they are 10 years old and over and live more than 4.8 km from the nearest school; and
they do not have access to public passenger service transport.
