Alzheimers South Canterbury has been making a difference to the lives of those living with dementia for over 25 years. 

In our region we provide Family/Whanau, Friends and people living with Dementia with :

• Social Support

• Home visits

• Advocacy

• Telephone support

WAIMATE CARER SUPPORT GROUP

The Waimate Carer Support group offer education and support to carers which gives them the
opportunity to share their experiences and connect with others that understand what they are
going through. These allow carers extra time for respite and the chance to build a strong network
of support around them.

Where: Community Link House

When: 3rd Wednesday of the Month
10.30am-12.30pm

WAIMATE CUPPA and CHAT

These social groups for people living with Dementia were created to:

• Give Carers and people living with Dementia the opportunity to talk about subjects of interest and socialise.

• Get together with other carers who understand what you are going through.

• Get support and advice from our community staff members.
